Hôtel des Granges > CSR: our commitments for a better world
For us, CSR isn't a fad, or a box to tick between green washing powder and quinoa salad. It's just... normal.
It's normal to respect the planet, people and common sense.
It's normal to think that we can host without destroying, cook without wasting and work without exhausting ourselves.
In short, we take care of you. Of you, of our team, of our corner of the Camargue... and a little of the world around us too.
We can't change the planet on our own (we've tried, but it takes time).
But on our own scale, we can :
Limiting our energy consumption without limiting your comfort
Favour local producers, those who work well and with heart
Reducing our waste (and our bills, too)
Creating a close-knit team that listens, motivates and is happy to come to work
Welcoming everyone without judgement or labelling
Support what's going on in the area: craftspeople, associations, traditions, local projects, etc.
Testing, sometimes failing, starting again, improving, but always moving forward
In short: doing better every day, all together. And with a smile to boot.
Window sensors: when you open the window, the air conditioning switches off
Appliances on standby = appliances off
Ecolabelled cleaning products
Rigorous selective sorting (glass, plastics, bio-waste)
Towels changed only if you ask for them (we promise, we won't judge you)
Food donations to local charities
Precise energy monitoring (in place by the end of 2025)
Upcoming projects: compost and solar panels
We don't grow our tomatoes on the roof (yet), but we know where our produce comes from:
Mas de l'Ange olive oil
Local vegetables
Craft beers
Suppliers chosen for their ethics, not just their price
Here, there's no surprise schedule, no imaginary break, no tyrannical boss (we banned that in 2017):
Clear and respected timetables
Scheduled rest days
No absurd cuts
Supportive and participative management
Ongoing training and career development
Ideas welcome (even for changing the reception playlist)
And above all: a team that is diverse, inclusive and considered, regardless of origin, age, gender, disability or orientation. We hire from the heart (and the skills, of course).
Wheelchair-accessible rooms
Zero tolerance for all forms of discrimination
Open, humane and transparent recruitment
Respect for everyone, full stop.
We won't give you a lesson, but we will offer you some keys:
Clear display of our approach
A team trained to explain things without jargon
Local and responsible tips (bike tours, producers, nice restaurants)
CSR Charter available at reception and online
Partner of ASSPA and Kiwanis Arles
Support for local cultural and solidarity events
Cooperation with craftsmen, producers and associations
And always ready to listen to local initiatives
Regular monitoring of our actions and results
Team meetings to review, adjust and innovate
Internal dashboards
Active listening to your feedback (even the stuff we don't really like)
Respect for the environment
Local involvement
Training and development
Universal home
A close-knit and valued team
Continuous improvement
Sincere connection with you
